Exercise - Work Out Your Blast Radius

Answer the four questions in 8.1 in writing. Question 2, how many times before anyone notices, is the one that reveals most.

For each write tool, ask whether a task that only reads actually needs it. Remove any tool from any task that doesn't need it.

Check whether you have a rate limit on irreversible actions. If not, ask for one, it's cheap and it converts mass incidents into small ones.

Run the incident rehearsal prompt and walk the worst scenario through with the people who'd actually be on call.

Write the one-page runbook and put it somewhere findable at 3am. Tell three people it exists.
