Lesson 6
Exercise - Model Your Costs and Set Your Caps
Take the easy-case and hard-case step counts from your Chapter 1 trace.
Run the cost modelling prompt. Write down the median, the mean, and the gap between them.
Set a per-task cap on steps, time and cost. Write down what share of tasks you expect to hit it.
Design what happens when the cap trips. Write the exact message the user sees and what gets handed over.
Work out the volume at which the economics stop working. If it's close to your expected volume, that's a finding to raise before you build.
